Like 'Mikly Way', 'Galaxy' & 'Mars Bar'. Why have we done this? There must be better names out there! Can you think of any?

I think names are just random because I don't suppose for one minute that all Turkish people are delighted by that awful pink stuff that tastes like perfume.

Dont be silly.
The Galaxy is named after that big Ford people carrier that Gordon Brown persuaded the Blairs to buy when he realised it had the worst crash test results of all the large people carriers.
Pluto is named after Micky Mouse's dog..
Mikly way is in Reigate I think not space.
Mercury is named after the american car, Mercury Cougar.
Get the picture.
There aint no star called Twix, or PPPick up a PPenguine is there.

The Milky Way (our galaxy, not the choc bar!) is named thus because the band of light you can see stretching across the sky on summer nights appeared to ancient cultures as if someone had spilt milk in the heavens! Galaxy is derived from the greek "galactos" meaning milk. Mars is named after the god of war.

SPACE WAS HERE FIRST CHOCO MAKERS TOOK NAMES FROM THEM.
you can have a star named after yourself or someone ifyou are prepared to pay for the priveledge.
we could adapt star treks names for space and nebula, or give the classes like m class or y class.
i think they give scientific names already.

It's the other way around. We've name chocolate bars after parts of space. And no, I don't know why.

2) Towns: Hershey
3) Human expressions: Snickers
4) Company names: Nestle
