i was really looking forward to it and it had really good reviews but i saw it last night and it was rubbish! didnt scare me at all,what did you guys think of it?

yea i know it was eli roth but it just whittles it down for the people that might get it mixed up for another film of the same name,there are a couple

The film wasn't very good and most of the characters are too over the top... Nice naked ladies is always a bonus but didn't make up for any of the film.... Best bit is when the fella out of dumb and dumberer is being tortured... from a funny film his horror is pretty damn good... Other than that a big let down... not good for Tarantino... He's had some good films upto that one...

I thought it was a good movie! It's unreal but come on, it's a Quentin Tarantino film, that guy is crazy, but his movies are sooooo good! You can't watch a Quentin Tarantino film an expect it to be normal! That is just his style you have to consider that hostel is a weird movie but so was Kill Bill and it was good! I did like hostel do I recommend it? Heck yeah! As long as you have an open mind and know in advance that is not your average scary movie like "Saw" or "The Ring". I give it 2 thumps up, Quentin Tarantino is an artist!!!!!

Well, for me it was more like, disturbed. A company called Elite Hunting that earns its cash by warped bored proffessors with too much disposable income traveling the globe to cut up other humans alive! Weird how the age rating system is based purely on language and visuals rather than on concepts such as this. I mean, you can't see a full nude body in a romantic film, but cutting up people alive is ok based on the system.

I felt the same way. My husband owns all the Tarantino films and this one was a waste of our money.

I heard that it was really good but was disappointed by it as I have enjoyed every other tarentino film!
I found myself laughing all the way through it and I'm sure I'm not meant to do that!

Yeah I also thought it was pretty bad.
and apparently Hostel Part 2 is coming out next year.

Terrible, Awful. The BIGGEST waste of 2 hours of my life. Not Scary, not even gory, apart from the achillies heel bit. Nah I was really let down by it....

It was okaty but like you said not thrilling. BTW, Tarantino only produced it. He didn't direct it.

I have seen it, and I thought it was quite good. I found the whole eye thing disturbing. It was disgusting.
