Nope never heard of that one, hope its not true, as we live on a farm, and our cats have taken at least 20 mice into the house in the last 3 weeks.

That one certainly doesn't work in the country; mice come into the house when it gets cold outside and they want a warm and something to eat!
There's an interesting superstition for people who keep beehives, that any important family event especially births, deaths, engagement and marriages should be told to the bees. Otherwise they might become angry and swarm and go away. Traditionally a child is sent to tell them, and sometimes in the case of a death black ribbons are hung on the hives. If the hives are near the house they used to be turned 90º when the coffin left the house, especially at the death of the master of the house.
Bees were considered a sort of benevolent guardian spirit. The Greeks considered the bees as souls of the dead.

No. Have never heard of that one and isnt true in our house. We had a mouse ages ago and no deaths. Another mouse a couple of months ago. No deaths.
I used to be a little superstitious but not anymore. I probably would rather walk round a ladder than under it though!!!!

Not really, although if a mouse came into your house followed by your cat and the upshot of it all was you tripped over the moggie and broke your neck, now that would be tragic!
Read Barbara Vine's 'The Brimstone Wedding' - that's got loads about superstitions in it.

With or without the mouse moving into your house, there will definitely be death in the family. Everybody dies in his own time.

Not heard the mouse one, but my nana used to say that if a bird came into the house it meant bad luck, she even hated having robins on Christmas cards, she never put those ones up.

I don't believe in superstitions like that. Old wives tales. Women with nothing better to do, basically.

A death in the mouse's family, if my cat has anything to do with it!
My gran thought a bird coming into the house was a portent of doom.
