I probably am gonna apply to grad school this year for Fall 2007. I also was recently let go at my job. What would you do during a job interview? Would you give them the impression that you would stay long term or would you go the honest route and tell them you will likely leave next Fall? Also, I kinda wanna make some money.

there is no need to tell them anything. if they give you the job take it. as you said you're PROBABLY going to apply to grad school. you may find a job that keeps your interest for a few years. don't throw away opportunities on things you MIGHT do.

Give them the impression that you want to stay long term because if they know that you're leaving in a year, they won't hire you. And you do want a job don't you? Then next year quit. Simple as that.

Yes i will? Because i can not tell them the truth whiles am about to get a job for some little money which will help me alot. What i will do is to give them notice or resignation letter three or two weeks to the time.

Dude,

You are acting like this is a black and white decision, 'fess up or lie. Most interviewers don't ask the question of when you are planning to quit - because they assume you are looking for a job for the long-term.

So if you don't mention it, then no-one else will. If they ask about your long-term vision for yourself - you can say doing xxxxx at a company like this one, or something similar and then you aren't telling a lie, you are just letting them choose to believe something they want to.

No, not really. Your resume's not the greatest for a longterm contract. I would try and find a job that can accomodate you and that doesn't tie you down. Tell them you'll leave, or find someone else to employ you.

just mention that you left the previous job and don't mention that you will leave shortly but if you want you could mention that you are looking in to further studies.

Tell them EVERYTHING they want to hear! I mean I'm sure a lot of people lie in interviews, yours is pretty harmless.
