Labour's record on job creation has been one of creating public sector jobs for their cronies that do not add any value and fabricating the unemployment statistics by putting people on the sickness register when they should count as jobless or on a number of different categories. Their job record is one of misrepresenting the truth and destroying the competitiveness of Britain.

This strikes me as true. Labour knows that by increasing the number of state employees doling out benefits they are increasing the class of people that is likely to vote for them; the Tories never having had much warmth for the state sector.

They also have increased the number of people attending university. This might in itself seem to be a good thing; in truth, however, these additional students are often not academic material, and should really just be encouraged to work, or to take vocational courses.
