Depending on your point of view there are a lot of things more hostile. An angry spouse or angry anything, dog, neighbor, judge, storm.
For me death will be an adventure. Not one that I am ready to start any time soon but one that I know I will get a ticket for one day. I don't believe that death is the end. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, just altered. My life energy will alter. Can't say into what but as with everyone, I will find out.

What makes you think that death is hostile? It's only the beginning of another phase of "life."

For me personally, it would have to be living with disability issues as I do. I just wish there was some way I could live with my disability issues without having to live on Disabilty. That seems to be a tricky question, I hope there is a simple answer somewhere.
