this guy in my class, who also rides with me in the school bus, always stares at me when i get on the bus until i sit down (i sit infront of him on the bus), so the first time i realized it i ignored it, the second time it kinda bugged me but i let it go, the third time it just felt awkward so i smiled, waved my hand and said hi, and he said hi back. the reason this is bugging me is because he is always calling me amy and thats not my name! its not even close to my name, everytime he's borowing a pencil or somethign he would be like "hey, amy" and then i would tell him thats not my name and he would say sorry but he'll do it again, and this one time he told me a joke and i didnt get it i was like "i dont get it" and i was smiling, he was like looking at me like he was incredibly sorry and he offended me or something so he was like "sorry, sorry", besides i only say hi to him when i get on the bus coz he stares at me. we both dont like each other in that way, but why does he do this????

He's weird and that's his way of relating to others. You don't need to befriend someone with such poor social skills. Keep it light and airy with him, and tell him you've got to run when he gets to be too annoying.

may be he have a deal with his friend to annoy you
may be he does not know how to deal with beautiful girls like you
