Is this just me and i've become a misrable pessimist. Or is something seriously screwed with this country.
When i was a kid, i can remember my mum n dad allways bleating on about how lucky we were and how much tougher the world used to be. Later in life my mum confessed to me her mum n dad did exactly the same. Yet i find myself feeling deeply sorry for my kids, i think they're world is a rotten place. I'm for ever telling them how unlucky they are, and how much better things were for us as kids.
Nothing here works, the police don't catch criminals just motorists,
And if they actaully did the courts would let them go.
The hospitals make as many people sick as they cure, assuming you can get seen by your GP to get you in there.
The schools don't teach anything worthwhile to kids, what use is media studies and multi-cultralism, when half of them can't read or write.
Everywhere you look there are big brothers cameras watching your every move. Where the bloody hell did freedom go

Labour in power has been a disaster for the country, in terms of our liberty, safety, employment, disposable income, and competitiveness, to name but a few. This is what happens if the people allow incompetent control freaks who wouldn't know the truth if it bit them run the country.

I'm not from the UK so I can't speak for what you are experiencing over there. I can tell you that your thoughts and fears are felt in the same fashion over here in the States though by people who remember "the good old days".

Something is seriously screwed up with the world. How did it happen? It started in the 60's. Here is a link that I think you will find very interesting... Follow the links on the page and I think it will all become very clear to you...

We as a people are lost unless we revert back to what we were taught by our elders. Problem today is the youth believe they know more than their elders. Your Mum and Dad were right, and so are you.

Take Care....

Psst... SPY...

A heads up... hammy isn't from the United States..

Calling her Mother- Mum and using the words bloody hell should have been a give away. Save your rant for a more appropriate time.

You should read the link too. Hopefully you will take some serious consideration away from it.

Well it also helps to be more realistic. Are the jails filled with innocent people then? No, people that have been convicted of crimes.

Do schools teach worthwhile things? I dont consider atheistic philosophy a good thing. When textbooks push home the notion that we were created by a single celled ancient organism and not God, and the liberal atheist that is your biology teacher nods emphatically, we have a problem with our schools being turned into atheist training camps. No I am not advocating religion being taught in science class, but merely scientific facts that lead to the specific conclusion that there is a God that created the world.

The more we secularize this nation, the more we pull the rug from out under it turning it into a hopeless godless nation. Worried about the nation your kids are going to inherit? Teach them about God and counter what the schools are teaching them.

The answer to Thomas A great question has been shown to us by other countries....In France, last year, when the people felt that workers labor rights were being abused and violated they did the most important tool available to us......they shut the country down until the change they demanded was provided. We all have issues that outside of our political affiliations we share......health care, education, jobs, wages, oil prices/consumption. If we were to shut the country down for a week....no work...no purchases.....corporate America and government would lower gas prices in a second. If we shut down for 2 weeks or 3 imagine what we could accomplish. The ultimate problem is, and sadly to say, there are too many people that have a fear based mentality.....and fear their government instead of us showing our power and having the government afraid of us...as it should be....as our fore fathers designed it to be.....we have forgotten the power of what it means to be an American Citizen.
I just started posting and therefore can not provide you with a thumbs up...which is what your question deserves.

And where would you rather live? One good thing about here is that you can initiate change. You do have the right to pursue happiness, we just aren't guaranteed it. Don't languish on all the downsides. Find things that do make you happy and concentrate on them.
