Hi all I am 2 weeks past the first day of my last period and have woke up this morning to absolute agony in my groin. I usually have about a 37 day cycle so am unsure if this could be ovulation pain so early. The pain is awful in my groin and it feels very tender and even hurts when i move. I would compare the pain even to early labour pains as its so sore. It also hurts and feels tender around my ovaries. I am a reasonably healthy 28 year old who has had 5 kids. I also suffered this last month but have never in the past before then. Is it normal for this pain or do I need to get it checked out?

Hi, when I was 14 I was in agonizing pain with my lower stomach, both left and right. I was told I had ovarian cysts. I was passing out a lot with the pain and it required me having a operation.
When they opened me up the cysts had gone. I was growing ovarian cysts but them bursting (this happening after a scan and before the operation).
It appeared there was little they could do because of them bursting and I got told having a child would cure it.
Now, 7 kids later I still occasionally, (very rarely now I think of it) get the pain but have learned to live with it and actually strengthened my pain tolerance.
It could be cysts you have, or very tender ovaries, I'd definitely recommend you getting it checked out.
If pregnancy can be ruled out then a hot water bottle will help to ease the pain, feet up and something to do to help take it off your mind.

Go to the dr immediately, u might have grumbling appendix.....if the pain gets that bad to to A & E. Don't suffer unnecessarily when your health is in danger. Good luck

if i was you i would get checked out!! it could be that you may have a cyst on your ovary, i had this after my first child and had to get it removed!! they say that hormones make them grow and with you just over your period then this can be the case
