My motorboat is 30 meters steel construction with two diesel engines. I will have on board my family and my crew.Also which is the best reurn way from Virgin Islands to Gibraltar during April and May.

Straight across will be the shortest.
Plane would be fastest.
Car wouldn't be a good idea. (No gas stations in the middle of the ocean.)

the limiting factor is your range under power.........can you make it on a great circle route w/o refueling?

You also didn't mention where from and to on the Nov trip.........but from here in the Virgins to Gib in the spring, assuming you don't have the range to go direct, either go north 700 miles to Bermuda, then east 1500 ( ? don't have a chart in front of me) to the Azores then the next 1000 to Gib.....
