My last period ended this past Tuesday. But it started different then what they normally do. When I first got up I had blood tinged cervical mucus. Then later on that night I finally started my period. Well it lasted the full 5 days like it suppose to. Now I have been having ALOT of cervical mucus with SOME cramps! So I was just curious if any other woman have had this problem? This has never happened to me before!

couple of questions for you. Are you on the pill? are you trying to conceive? is the mucus that you're haviing now blood tinged? the reason i've asked all of these is because it can really change the answers.
-If you are on the pill then all of that mucus would not be from pending ovulation, it could be from infection so i would get it checked out.
-if you are on not on the pill then you are 9 days or so into your cycle and some women get ewcm (egg white cervical mucus) for up to 5 days before ovulation and this is your fertile time and very normal.
-if you are trying to conceive, this would be the best time to have intercourse the sperm live the longest in this type of mucus.
-the cramps could also be a sign of ovulation

Are you sure it was "cervical mucus" and not a yeast infection?

yes it sounds like ovulation .
