Because I have a lot of prescribed meds, I keep them in a basket in my bedroom. The ideal place would be inside the kitchen cupboard out of reach of children or in a medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Vitamin supplements would be kept together with the prescribed meds.

I have a pantry type closet in my kitchen where I store a swallow bin, that I keep all of my medicines in. It's easy to just pull out and grab the one I want and then put the bin back. But this could also work just as easy in a kitchen cabnet also. I start using the small bin because when I just stored pill bottles on the shelves, they would get knocked over or pushed behind things and then I couldnt find them. The bin keeps them all together, and I don't have to worry about loosing one. This is also good if you have kids cause if you have to keep something up high, the bin idea makes it so much easier to get down.

Putting your meds in a bathroom cabinet is a bad idea.Moisture builds up even in the cabinet so it isn't good to store medicine there.I keep all
of my medicine in the kitchen cabinet so it is dry
and at room temperature. Also I keep it on the very top shelf so that it is out of reach from my 3 year old son.

Up high in a kitchen cupboard. No prescription drugs at the moment, just bandages, lotions etc.

I personally, put it in a high kitchen cabinet. (well away from the sink...don't want it exposed to moisture) I've done that for years to keep the children away, and now grandchildren... bathroom medicine cabinets are too easy to get into.

you should keep your medicine in a dry location and always out of reach of little ones. even if you don't have any children you should always follow this rule.
