It was styled quite well after the old gumshoe style flicks, and was an overall great movie

The Black Dahlia, Hollywoodland and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow both are retro 40s era styled films that are catching hot w/ box office audiences. Prepare to see more of this movie trend real soon.....and it's one I welcome.

well its a classy look with a bit of noir style, black and white styling and transitions which were used in 30s and 40s, the whole movie i mean the look is set in 30s, the story is based in that period

I liked it its new but the ending....well...not so much.
