The PS2 is the number one selling game system in the world right now. The PS2 has even out-sold the 360. But with the release of the PS3 and the new Nintendo Wii just months away, the old PS2 will soon be outdated, because you can play all old PS2 games on the PS3 so the PS2 will soon have no use. I would go for the Ds lite from Nintendo or the psp from Sony, or you could just wait for the ps3 or the Wii to come out.

Well, the GC is best. But the Game Boy SP is a handheld console so you can't compare it to a games console like the Cube. The PS2 isn't as good as the GC though. However, you should think of the Wii. It's gonna be great with the revolutionary control.

PS2 has best range of games; gameboy sp a bit old now - ds much better - gamecube controllers pack in quite quickly and hard to get even generic replacements sometimes....
Why can't they bring back the old N64..... that was and still is the best!

The PS2 is the better of the bunch, the amount and variety of games that are out there are imense in comparison. However if you can and are prepared towait, hang on till next year when the PS3 comes out. I know it's quite a lot larger of a dent in the old bank, but it will be more than worth it when it hits the streets, and as always, the price will drop after the initial launch.

gameboy sp, ps2 is okay, but don't buy xbox 360, the controls are extremely hard to control,for the gamecube i haven't try it yet,so i can't say for sure

If you don't want to spend a lot of money for new a console, the original X-Box has fab graphics, and because everyone is getting the latest consoles, you can get some X-Box games on E-Bay really cheap, and certain library's loan them out.

PS2 because you can get more out of playing then you can for gameboy because you have many game to pick from
