All part of a general downgrading of standards. I like regional accents though. Look forward to the guy with the Irish accent on our local London news prog saying tree (for number 3) and tirty (for 30). I know what he means and love the accent (i swear they manipulate the facts to get more of those numbers in his reports).

It's shocking that they do that !!! The thing is it's just a bad habit...it's not a lisp or anything that they can't help doing !! When they were young they should have got a slap on the **** for doing that !!
