Since the world is fighting over the control of Earth's limited resources with innane reasons behind it, what will the government leaders fight for next? Aside from oil because people want oil in such high demand.

1. Copper (20 to 30 years left)
2. Fresh water supply (soon to be gone)
3. Zinc (no more Galvanised steel in 20 to 30 years)
4. Iron, Ore, steel (give or take 100 to 150 years)
5. land space (more people, less land)
6. Others (please specify)

and WHY did you choose it?

I'd say copper because the value of copper has trippled and it is used for communication. if there is no copper, then there will be no more electronics.

We're not running out of copper (just yet). And they've been fighting over land in the middle east since before I was born...so thats out.....and there is a way though expensive to convert salt water to drinkable water...so I'm not worried there. Number four is beyond my life span, and replacable if we think of a way, and land space is as well. Think of all the land not being used in say Iowa, or Colorado....we can always move closer. My guess is intelligent people. Not too say we are running out worldly but Im more concerned for the U.S. continueing to be on top.We need people to solve the problems, the govt is paying top dollar for the people with the next working idea on how to solve our oil problems (you dont pay top dollar for things in mass quanties (first rule of economics)). My second guess is IP adresses for the internet. Give it three years and the internet may need to double up or steal other countries IP address's. (Dont ignore this issue....its more important then you think-imagine wanting to create a website and paying double maybe triple what you are-business's wont be happy). They arent earth resouces necessarily but those are the ones to be concerned about.

Whos fighting for oil?If America wanted a fight for oil,we could have just gone to mexico,it would have been alot closer and less of a fight. We went to war because over 3000 people lost thier lives on 911 and because Sadam Hussein didnt abide by the resolution for the years that Clinton was in office.., I guess he attacked Iraq for oil too?And Mike Farrel said we were supposed to run out of water in the year 2000..,looks like we still have plenty.I think I would find a little optimisim in my life..,instead of looking for negative.Go hug a tree you know they need love too and besides it politically correct.

Water

I work for a Dialysis Company and we use a ton of water. Federal Guidelines requires us to use Reverse Osmosis (R.O) to purifiy our water. An average 20 chair clinic needs 8 gallons of R.O. water per minute. To get that 8 gallons of water you need 200 gallons of City Water. This is due to the rejection rate of 96%. An average clinic is open for 16 hours each day and operates 6 days a week. That is approx 192,000 gallions of City water a day. 1,152, 000 a week , and 59,904, 000 gallons a year.
Now take that number and multiply it by the thousands of clinics throughout the Nation and even the world.

By the way Dialysis companies don't do anything that I know of to conserve or use the rejected water for other uses.

By the way my company pays less the 10 dollars a week for water. Here is the payment schedule.

the answer to your question....the world has always and will always fight over religion. every1 thinks their religion is the correct one and are willing to kill over their beliefs. the thing thats suposed to bring us all together is the thing that causes the most death. in the history of this world religion has caused more death and war than anything else. and it always will. people need to learn to accept other people for who they are no matter what their religion might be.

It doesn't matter what the cause is, it all boils down to"I'm right and you're wrong".
