transparency with an over head projector?

I've tried several ways, the best being a 35mm slide projector...that's the brightest, and most versatile. You can buy one inexpensively on ebay or in a garage sale. The downside is you have to have slides of your work. You can order order slides from digitial images from many sources online at very reasonable cost. If you must use an opaque or "art" projector, try the Artograph Super Prism...costly but brighter than the $25 model. Hint: I found a used model for half-price on ebay. Downside is limited size of original. You may have to shoot digital first then print to about 4x5 size.

I have an over head projector, and the images I wanted to see on the wall were all drawn with dark outlines onto transparent paper, I printed from computer. If it is for you to create the image onto the wall try one without filling with colour. Just outlines with a dark colour should show up well on a white or pale wall/ceiling.
If it is one for demonstrating a picture onto the wall, be sure you have a white wall to project onto.

depending on how much you want to spend:

1. take picture with slide film and use a slide projector
2. use overhead projector
3. depending on what medium it is. Scan or digitally photograph it so it can be printed onto a mylar transparency. Then use overhead projector. Image will be sharper.
