This is a question regarding saving ones files in case of a computer crash.

same thing.
YOu just put all the files you wonna back up in one file called image.

An 'image' refers to the entire contents of the drive, your operating system, installed programs etc. A backup up only saves the files that are marked for back up.

The answer before gives the best answer, but I just I would throw out why the term "image". It refers to a mirror image.
On the on the hand backing up files doesn't imply if you backup two or all of them.
