Did Koreans chop on the silver coins like the Chinese did?

Chop Marks were normal for most of the Asian World, China, Korea, Japan, etc. The modern version of a chop mark would be that 16 year old cashier who has to look at a $100 bill for 5 minutes, and then nail it with 'the marker'
