Dryer lint...collect lint in as many different colors as you can or get some of that spray flower dye from the craft store and dye plain lint until you have an assortment of colors. Have them make picture on poster board using school glue, glitter, stick on stars and whatever else you find about the house. Mat the finished art work and frame under glass for their first masterpiece collage.

What type of waste? Waste water? or recyclable packaging? Children can make some pretty clever creations out of cardboard and a tub of glue.

waste if u mean all d banana peels,egg shells,etc can be used for compost making if thats the kinda article u mean and its totally fun minus the stinky part

you can make a lot of things out of waste materials. one can make pen stands, baskets out of newspaper, small tables and soo many decorative items. this will also require the use of felt tip pens,crayons,glitters or whatever mode with which u want to decorate ur item.

well i always enjoyed making musical instruments out of card, elastic bands and dried beans but i dont know if that counts?!
