the following measures should be taken in-order to eleminate or reduce poverty problem.

1. increase international mobility of labour:

it already exist in india however require some more boost. the effect will be an increase in remmitences which are recieved by the poor families living here. you dont need to worry about brain drain in this case.

2.increase investment oppertunities in india:

investment oppertunities means allowing foreign countries to invest in other sectors like telecommunication. that is in sectors which are yet not developed in india. this increase employment oppertunities in india and reduces poverty.

3. green revolution:

its debatable, if green revolution increase cost of production will reduce and less labor will be required. thus resulting in

a,increase in exports and thus returns for the country, since local product will be less expensive in international market.

b,it can also result in high unemployment if other sectors do not absorb the shifting labor.

4. distortions in developed economies:

problems like bombing and attacks in develped countries means development of developing economies. bcz investor feel insecure to invest their and shift their capital to developing economies.


5. income redistribution:

in countries like india the problem is that rich are becoming richer and poor are becoming poorer. the ultimate solution is income redistribution. taxing rich communities and paying it to the poor community. islam has a better system for it which is known as 'zakat'.

6:reduction in corruption:

most of the capital is lost through corruption. e.g govt announce 10 billion for roads construction, but the money spent is 2 billion and the rest is eaten up by officers and contractors etc.

7: infrastructure:

infra structure means improving communication. when better roads and transportation services are available, supply of goods and service will be fast, economy will be fast reduction in poverty will be faster.

India is on its path to development and is going pretty good. The solution is not to wave a wand and everybody is rich.

To solve it what you can do is to do your best to be a citizen of india not just a resident. And if you are not an indian, you need not worry. Many indians are on it already.
