Rightstuf and Roberts anime shop has some keychains I'm not sure they are cheaper from the others but they do have an anime club at rightstuf that gives discounts.

I think it's one of those things that are up to you. Do you think you are? How much have you watched/read? How much money and time have you spent on it? I've always considered myself a casual fan, although I've gotten into making cosplays for friends and such and have gone to cons now, so I guess I'm more of a loser than just "casual" xD P.S. Anime club scares me as well. Theres too many fan girls fighting over characters and such and playing make believe <3 And SGT Frog is amazing <3

Ebay. Malls are always overpriced. Especially the "specialty" stores... Go to an online retailer... Even that would be better... Any type of anime things are cheaper online, because the only places that seem to sell them are the mall...
