I like to get a feel of the personality of the person answering some of the questions. To see where they are coming from.

Yahoo users tend to have many profiles and stay anonymous. Yahoo users talk so much shiit and garbage, they dont want people to know who they are. Most likely the hot chick you chat with is a fat guy, or at the very least she weighs about 100lbs more than her description lets on. People dont take Yahoo very serioiously

I've read the answers that you have gotten so far and I agree
that some people are not what they seem and sometimes they don't fill in profile because their full of it most times , but some on here are genuine down to earth real people who will let you know something about them selves if they are confident enough that no harm will come to them by doing this .
I'm am right out there proud of who and what I am , but that's just me .

Mostly I would say that it boils down to fear.
Fear of being harassed, stalked, bugged by unwanted emails, fraud, theft, viruses - you name it.
We are always being advised not to give out too much personal information in chat rooms and this site is a bit similar to a chat room isn't it?
Anyway, who's to say that the profiles that are given are actually true.

I would like to...but...
I don't want people trashing my car, hurting my family, killing my dog, basically I do not trust many people and do not want people talking face-to-face with me, as they will likely hurt me.
