NO, D*MAN IT.
IT COSTS SO MUCH TO RUN A CAMPAIGN.
IT IS NO LONGER A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE AND BY THE PEOPLE.

IT HAS BECOME A GOVERNMENT OF THE WEALTHY BY THE WEALTHY.

IF A MODERN DAY ABRAHAM LINCOLN CAME ALONG, HE WOULDN'T HAVE A CHANCE OF WINNING BECAUSE IT WOULD TAKE DEEP POCKETS TO RUN ALL THE ADVERTISING.

Come to think of it, why don't we outlaw all the advertising and pass laws that require debate at every electorate level. All that money spent on advertising could be used for much better things like schools and roads. AND, tlhe people would get to hear what the candidates are made of.

Yeah, I like that, outlaw advertising and force them all to hold debates.

What do you think???

Both are relatively new parties...you have to understand that the Democratic party and Republican movemnts have been around for a lot longer and gained political backing by much of the country during the late nineteenth century...I don't think any party can ever displace either. We have witnessed countless parties fail due to many cicumstances: Populist, Socialist, etc. you get the picture...these two political ideals have been accepted as the structures of American party politics...only parties that exist are founded out of the same principles as Democrat or Republican.

Nope.. they don't have the funding & big business support backing them. Do you think some tree hugger is going to get the kind of money from the big oil companies or tobacco companies as does the other parties?
