I know several true Chelsea fans who followed them throughout the 1980s when they got relegated, were generally a mid-table team, and won a trophy once every five years, if that.
Would you still follow Chelsea if Abranovitch and Mourinho left, and the club had as much chance of winning a trophy as Newcastle?
I don't think you can class yourself as a true Chelsea fan yet unless they were your team before Mourinho took over.
By all means, say they are your favourite team, but the real test of your support is whether you would follow them if they went two seasons without winning anything....

I have been a Chelsea supporter since I was maybe 8 or 9 years old. My friends asked me why was i supporting Chelsea. They didn't win anything and never going to win anything. Thats wat they said. Now I ask them why they support Man United AND Arsenal. Chelsea are here to stay at NO 1 for quite a long time to come. My ID is smartplayer918@yahoo.com

I support Chelsea only because Jose Mourinho is in charge; and I can't stand Spanish, Italian or any other football leagues in the world... so I guess I'm an EPL supporter.
