This is what Jeanne Jakle said, "Nearly six months after his yank from the station, Bolton phoned the other day to give an update on what he was doing and to say he missed his listeners -- the citizens of "Commonsenseville," his old show's nickname -- terribly.

He remains bound by legalities, he said, so he couldn't comment on his firing from WOAI. However, he did say he and his family are "alive and well," and still making their home in San Antonio. He said he's turned down a number of talk radio jobs in other cities, adding, of course, that he can't entertain one here until his WOAI noncompete agreement is kaput.

Meanwhile, he's been writing pieces for the cigar magazine, Smoke, and working hard on a TV documentary that he hopes will be picked up by PBS nationally. It's called "America's Marine Aviators," and celebrates Marine Corps pilots and their families.

Basically he pissed off management.

justgoodfolks Instead of ridiculing the man, I think he shoudl be applauded for courageously trying it & being honest enough to change his mind after the experience! That is IF he really is a conservative who thought waterboarding was not torture before the experiment. I have found nothing on what he felt about waterboarding before this so I almost wonder if this is kind of a hoax - someone who was always against it, but is acting like he wasn't to add drama & to make his message more powerful. Not saying it is a hoax. Just saying I don't know.
