absolutely!!!!!!!! the customer is always right even if he deserved his car to blow up. You can think what you want but you cant say it. I have often wished upon problem costumers that "the fleas of a thousand camels infest their crouch and their arms be to short to scratch." then i picture them trying to scratch. It makes me laugh and puts me in a better frame of mind. Its not against the law to think what you want but when you say it it becomes a threat. Hope they don't block your unemployment benefit's for gross misconduct. they can do that too. That would just suck. Good luck to you.

Not against the law, but it's possibly a terminable offense. It can be perceived that you stated that you wished the customer would die- not a good career move. Each state has different BOLI laws. At the very least you should written up with a warning, and at the most, temporarily suspended with "strike two" warning. Good luck.

In most places in the world, it is completely legal to terminate employment for "cause". Threatening a customer would definitely be "cause". In most parts of the first world, uttering threats is a criminal code offense so if the person interpreted your remark as a threat, there could be legal repercussions aside from being fired.

Bye Bye! Depending on your locality, the laws regarding termination may differ in regards to length of notice, severance pay, etc.

It isn't against the law if it wasn't a threat. But you can get fired.
