do you live there or near there? if so is it as nice as the pictures? What kind of jobs are there? Anything else you can tell me from your perspective is appreciated. My husband and I are looking at it as an option to move there. are the jobs there good, or would you have travel far into the city?

Leavenworth is a beautiful little town in the mountains, however unless you own your own small tourist shop I would say it's not the best place in regards to a job market. Leavenworth is just way too small for me to consider living in, and for most, a job would include a very long commute. I'm not sure what the nearest large town/city is. Leavenworth is mainly a tourist trap.

I have only been there as a tourist from Canada...it is delightful and really makes me feel like I am in a German town....most of the restaurants and hotels are of German decor and lots of German cuisine.....it really is a neat little town....the whole town is based on tourism....but I am no expert....

I am Canadian from Vancouver, Canada, but I would imagine its a great place to live and raise a family if you could have employment and find affordable accommodations.

Go for it!

Nice town. But, same as anyplace...you never know what will happen 'till you get there! Go for it. You can always move if it doesn't work out! Good luck.
