the book of revelation(apocalypse) was written in 95 on Patmos Island .The book is frequently called "The book of Revelations" or simply "Revelations"; however, the title found on some of the earliest manuscripts is "The Apocalypse/Revelation of John" (ΑΠΟΚΑΛΥΨΙΣ ΙΩΑΝΝΟΥ), and the most common title found on later manuscripts is "The Apocalypse/Revelation of the theologian" (ΑΠΟΚΑΛΥΨΙΣ ΤΟΥ ΘΕΟΛΟΓΟΥ).Tradition has identified John with the disciple St. John, but many scholars deny such authorship.

The apostle John wrote it (same one who wrote the Gospel of John ant the thre epistles of John). He wrote it while he was in exile on the island of Patmos. He was probably an old man at the time, and may have thought his ministry was over. So to receive the revelation at that time would have been quite a shock. John was surely concerned for the churches in Asia Minor (part of modern-day Turkey), and the book of revelation is adressed to those churches. It is generally believed the book was written between 80 AD and 95 AD, although it might have been earlier. Recent discoveries are giving earlier dates to many of the New Testament manuscripts.

It was written by the same disciple John who wrote the Gospel and the Epistles.
If I may get a little picky here, this Revelation is singular, not plural.
It was probably written about 80 or 90 A.D.

I dont remember the time of its writing. It must have been as late as 60AD which supposes the Apostle John (yes the same disciple who walked with Jesus and who was its author) must have been quite old by then. He wrote it in on the Island of Patmos where he had been sent into exile by the Roman authorities.
