yes turkey is an amazing place. there are some beautifull resorts and so many places you can go visit. istanbul is more historical, whils cities like izmir, antalya etc are better for sea vacations and september is the best month to go...
unlike some people said here, turkish people dont have a problem with catholics or americans, they are very friendly and known for their hospitality. they love tourists. and you dont have to look over our shoulder for safety every two seconds. thats just bs. there arent people who have guns and shoot around. only if there is a riot or something and that happens in every country...there are lots of shops and markets and everything where they sell fake stuff...the sea is beautiful in most places...so yeah it is a great place for a honeymoon

It depends on what you want but generally in Turkey there are many beautiful places for every taste. In the southern parts there are many luxurious resorts and also some cheaper hotels. You can see many tourists in these areas who came to enjoy the sea, nature, history and night life. Also you can find many cafes, restaurants having choices from different world cuisines.Apart from this Anatolia has traces of many civilizations. You can go to Bodrum - Halicarnassos Mausoleum which is one of the seven wonders of the world or Ephesus Artemis Temple. There are also many other choices for the sea and history combination.

İstanbul is a great city. Here you can see many important historical places and museums which reflect both Ottoman and Greek culture.

Well,Turkey is maybe not from one of the safest countries of the world but it is not like that there are many people killing each other.Just you should have to ask about the places you want to go and have information before you go.In any case you should be careful about theft.Compared to other places İstanbul is a more hectic city with traffic jam, noise, pollution.I do not know whether it is suitable for honeymoon but you should absolutely go one day.

Not flaming likely. Too many crazy, wild people with guns. Go somewhere where you can relax and enjoy yourselves without having to look over your shoulders for safety.
