All things that can be distinguished are by the nature of dualistic differentiation, non-self. This is the crux of the issue in the Garden of Eden allegory when God has forbidden Adam & Eve to eat of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, this and that, self from other, myself from God. Before eating of this fruit that creates dualism, we dwelled in Paradise and we did not know the difference between ourselves and God; self and non self were undisguishable. Afterwards, we knew we were "naked" and so afraid. We were cast out, forever unable to know any "thing" except as non-self.

For the first statement.

"Things indistinguishable from "self" ": A thing cannot be distinguished from itself...it's one and and the same... thus true HOWEVER

"cannot be distinguished from one another" it CAN be distinguished from other things thus incorrect. Hence 1st statement is INCORRECT.

For the second statement:

There has to be a criteria to distinguish two individual things. The criteria must must also distinguish "self' from "non self".

Hence the secong statement is CORRECT

1) NO.. "Self" can have many facets, which can be independently recognized as being different.

2) NO.. Not all things are dependent on "self /non self" in order to be recognized.
