I asked this in polls and surveys. "Who lives with you", meaning do you live on your own or if not who do you live with? What the heck is wrong with asking that? Ok I've had my share of violations for today but this is rediculous! What the hell did I do now?!?

thanks :-( now I lost 10 points. Did you guys know that you loose 10 points for a question in violation and -2 for an answer in violation? I learned it today, no thanks to the smart asses! :-(

Oh and my question is more directed to: How can I live on my own? But instead I just asked "who lives with you" maybe I should've asked "how do you get along with your roomates"?

I response to catwomanmeow's answer, I see questions like that all the time and they never get removed. I post one "chatty" question and it gets deleted withing minutes :-( whatever I think I'm going to take a break from Yahoo Answers.

Mine was just deleted to. No violation was given to me. I asked something about going to sleep. Look at my last question about 5 minutes ago. You have to be careful how you word things. Yahoo Nazis are watching tonight.

Whoever read your question probably thought it was against the Yahoo!Answers Guidelines.

Rule #3:
NO CHATTING OR PERSONAL COMMUNICATIONS: You may meet friends or other interesting people on Yahoo! Answers with whom you'd like to engage in personal correspondence. If so, please use the chat option on your profile page, rather than use Yahoo! Answers itself. Questions that are chatty, or attempts to engage others in personal communications, will be removed. Some examples of questions that do not comply with the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines are below. These are just a few examples, and we reserve the right to change, remove, or add to the list at any time, without notice:
How are you?
Anyone want to chat?
What's your name?
How old are you?
Do you like my avatar?
What time is it?
Who here likes steak?
How many points do you have?
Who likes Britney Spears?

I've never noticed the loss in points. I have had a few violations over nonsencial things like that. Sometimes I think it was a computer filter that did or an overzealous person in here who clicked on the report flag.

Evidently, there are some people on this site who report questions for absolutely no reason. Yahoo should reconsider the way it uses to violate questions and answers, as it is obviously flawed.

You must have offended somebody. Y! deletes seemingly without reading and certainly without any sense of irony most times when something is flagged.

Why they got so defensive when the French Government banned advertising or sale of Nazi paraphernalia when they are so eager to cater to the lowest common denominator of taking offense, I cannot imagine.

Sometimes Yahoo staff gets careless and doesn't pay close enough attention, but I think it'll be best if you just re-ask the question and let it be.
