should it be taking 6 hours just to charge the ipod nano cuz it's been about 6 or 7 hours and it's still not done?

It can take up to 14 hours to get a fully charged battery; depending on when you got your iPod and how many times you have charged it. Check the upper right hand corner of your display. A solid color battery indicates a full charge. As the iPod battery drains, the battery icon's appearance will follow suit. Typically, an iPod nano battery will be 80-percent charged in about 1.5 hours, and fully charged in about 3 hours.

If you're really worried about it, take it to a local Apple Store and have them look at it.

Otherwise, if your battery's still working fine in terms of capacity, I wouldn't worry about it. There have not been any reports of iPod Nanos exploding due to faulty batteries.

If you are trying to charge it via your computer I suggest that you purchase a wall charger. If its not charging via the wall charger then consult apple.

You have a one year limited warrenty through apple.

check with your batteries or ensure proper power is being supplied to the ipod

It SHOULD be done charging..that's really odd.
