Unfortunately having your tubes tied does not reduce your chance of pregnancy to 0%. It is about 99.7% effective, which means that of 1000 women who have their tubes tied and continue to be sexually active without using a barrier method, 3 will conceive.

The fact that you conceived your youngest so quickly after your third child's birth could also indicate that you are very fertile. I don't know if that increases the chances of you getting pregnant after having your tubes tied, but it's something to think about!

The best thing would be to take a pregnancy test - it will set your mind at ease, and if you're not pregnant it's maybe a good idea to chat to your doctor as there may be other reasons why you're late, such as an ovarian cyst.

Tubes tied is a very unreliable form of birth control. Tubal ligation is always the best. Sounds like you are PG. Although, how old are you? If of a certain age, you could be starting into menopause. And yes, this begins in early forties, even though many think they are still too young at that point. Popcorn twins?

Yes, there is a small chance that you can get pregnant after your tubes are tied. You should take a pregnancy test and/or see your doctor. I've never been pregnant so I don't know for sure, but your symptoms of discomfort sound more like bad gas than anything else. But really, see your doctor.

You could be under a lot more stress than normal right now. That can cause upsets in hormones & cycles. You probably are just 'late'.

You want another baby? It is normal to have regrets after getting such a permanent procedure done. But you'll come back to your senses, eventually.

It could just be stress causing the lateness. I know it's pretty common to skip a month (or two, or three at my university) because of pressure and stress. With three kids running around I'm sure that you have plenty to worry about already, so I wouldn't rule out that possibility!

My friend just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy after having her tubes tied. Nothing is impossible.

It not uncommon for the tubes to come untied. My Dr. told me that it was very possible for them to come untied within five years,so I had a tubal ligation, nine years ago.
When you say popcorn twins do you mean you were "popping" them out .(having them to close together)

Get in to see a doctor and have a pregnancy test. If you are pregnant, they'll need to ultrasound immediately, because it could very well be an ectopic pregnancy, which can be deadly.
