Not if you conceive, otherwise it would just flush the embryo out. Not likely to get pregnant the day before your period.

First of all, your best chance at conception is during ovulation which generally is day 14 of your cycle if you are a 28 - 30 day cycle. Your cervical mucous will be clear, stretchy and wet, your cervix will be high and open and you may experience cramping or spotting during this time. THIS time is generally the best time to conceive, however having said that if you were ovulating a day before your period was due, then your chances are extremely high and you wont get a typical period, maybe some implantation bleeding but not a full blown heavy period - though again I have read that some women say they still got normal periods so text books say not a usual period, but some women say that that isn't gospel. Generally speaking if you are pregnant you wont bleed but could have light spotting.

Go to the doctor and get a blood test done, you will then know for sure. it is possible to have your period while being pregnant.
Early signs of pregnancy:
Spotting
Nausea/vomiting
Headache
Food cravings
Heightened sense of smell
Missed period
Backache
Crampy
Extreme fatigue
Tender/swollen breasts
Frequent trips to the bathroom
These signs can appear as soon as implantation or anytime after, each woman is different! Some women have all of these, some have a few and some women don't have any signs
