I have found that the only things that have worked for me are cleaning out the container, starting over with new seed and using a completely tight top. I have been using a metal garbage can and so far so good. There is a good garden site www. pallensmith.com - it is very good at helping to resolve specific problems. Best of Luck!

Keep the birdseed in a sealed container. If the moths are in the bird cage, you may have to give the cage a bit of a cleanout.

You can toast the seeds for a few minutes in the oven or toaster oven.
