Oh my god I think I know which pair you're talking about... God I love Steve Madden shoes!!! I ALWAYS find myself in the same dilemma as you--barely any money, credit card debt piling up, and still have to buy groceries, but I still want them damn shoes! To justify your purchase, just wear them a whole bunch. I always divide the price by a certain number... For example say the shoes are $100. If you wear them 20 times, that's like you paying $5 to 'rent' them each time. And then I think to myself, "Would I pay $5 to wear these shoes for a day?" If the answer is yes, and I've worn them 20 times, then they've paid for themselves. If "no," then just wear them more often! I hope that makes sense... lol

OOoohh, I am lusting after the same shoes! I can afford them, but I know I'll never wear them because they would be uncomfortable and I seem to have a lot of difficulty walking in heels. I mean, A LOT. They are hot shoes, but if they're really going to break the budget then don't get them just yet. Try saving up for them or see if they have lay-by (I think you call it Lay-away in US?)... Or just splurge and starve for a week, lol ; )

Nope...some things I have learned ...if I really love them enough, it will be on sale...AND.......are they spur of the moment fashion or will you wear them again next year? Spend good money on things you expect to last a long time...don't spend a chunk of change on something that may be out of date next year. And lesson #3...someone else always has a knock off pair for cheaper....

Does it really matter? You know you're gonna go out and buy them anyway regardless of what my opinion is and after you wear them the first time and realize they're not the most comfortable shoes, you will wish you hadn't bought them. So really, go ahead, buy them.

U can find so many other knock offs for those. Maddens are knockoffs of christian luobatin. They have them at urban outfitters, target, and even payless. just paint the bottom red.

If you think that's the right thing to do and you don't feel guilty about it later.
Just last week, I felt guilty after I spent all my money on a hoodie at Abercrombie.
I didn't return it though, because I like it. : )

You must be able to afford them, or you would not even be thinking about buying them. Either you have the money or you don't!
