Has anyone out there ever used either proactiv or retin-a micro. My doctor prescribed me retin-a micro a few days ago and i was just wondering if anyone had ever used it, and if they have a preference between it and proactiv. please tell me which you prefer, why, and how long it took to see results.

I have used both, at the moment I have retin-a micro. But well they both work. But well pro-act didn't agree with my skin, I mean I don't think I was doing it right to begin with, but after 3 weeks I didn't see a change, maybe it was slow because as soon as I got to Florida it was all gone. But well yeah they both work. I really don't have a preference. As for the results nothing is immediate, you have to keep that in mind when you take meds for anything or when you are trying to lose weight. Your body has to take things slow in order to cope with all the changes, so you'll start to see alittle results on a week to week basis, just don't get too caught up doing it, just put the meds on your face as your doctor told you to, and when you go back to see him, let him be the judge of if the meds are working for you.

I haven't used the Retin-A, but I have used Proactiv. I love it. It costs about $50.00 per kit, which can last anywhere from 1-6 months depending on how often you want to use it. I only use it at night because it's too drying for my skin. It would be cool if you could try both. Not at the same time, of course. Consider the cost of each, maybe, to decide which to try first. I mean, if Proactiv is way cheaper, why not try it before the Retin-A. I saw results with Proactiv in a couple of days. If you try the Retin-A, I'd be curious how it worked for you.

I personally have not used either, but I work with skincare products/makeup everyday. I can't get over how many people Proactiv has done wonderful things for. If you have sensitive or dry skin-based on the many people I talk about skin care with on a daily basis-you should definately give proactiv a try! When you're ready to stop using it, look for skin care that is natural based without mineral oil and such in the products (Bare Essentials/Origins/etc.) A lot of retin-a type product will make your skin very flaky and irritated even if you have oily skin. Best of Luck!

Try this stuff called Clear Ac Check health stores I saw results with in 3 days to 1 week worked real well, but I had real minor acne. But I would give it a shot it is made by Hyland's.
