HELP! There are usually about 25 days between my period. But last month there were 33 days. This month, it has been 30 days since my last period and it still hasn't come. It's very late! I recently started having sex, about a week after my LAST months period was over. I've been peeing a lot, sometimes it feels like a lot, and it's usually not. At times it burns just a little, not much at all. I'm hoping it's a UTI and i'm not pregnant because we have only had sex 3 times and all times were with protection. We checked during to make sure the condom didn't break or anything, hopefully we didn't just miss it. ALSO, I have been under a lot of stress in the past month or so, too...due to just starting college and arguments with roomates. I recently just got a job which I was waiting about a month for so I was wondering if stress may have something to do with it. Ive been eating fast food a lot lately too.Ive been worrying myself to death hoping im not pregnant! Someone please answer fast...

Of course, I don't know for sure, but I think you are NOT pregnant. I'll tell ya why. First of all, you are not VERY late yet. You said that last month was 33 days, right? It sounds like you had sex at a "safe" time of month and condoms, unless broken, are pretty darned reliable. Stress about your job, your roomates, and especially about being pregnant will have a HUGE affect on your body. Just relax, have a glass of wine and think positively.
I am 48 now but when I was 19 and in my second year of college I started having sex with my boyfriend. I, like you, freaked because I was late the following month. I was home with my parents over Thanksgiving vacation and couldn't be myself at all, so afraid that I'd have to quit school and have a baby. I was in love with my boyfriend, but not ready for that! Anyway, after about a week of no show, my bf and I went to a concert. There, for the first time in a week, I relaxed and stopped thinking about it for a few hours. Guess what? I started at that concert.
It's weird and hard to believe how much our bodies are in tune with our moods and stresses. Just recently, my son moved in with his father. I didn't have a period the entire time he was gone, but had never skipped before in my life. After verifying that I wasn't pregnant, I assumed I was starting menopause. 6 months later, the day he moved back in with me, my period started again!
It sounds like you are very scared. In the future, be very very careful. You don't want to go thru this every month!

The problem with women is that we can experience different gynecological problems, but the signs and symptoms can be similar. First try to stay calm, and keep in mind that when you have sex, weather it's three times or 100 times,it only takes once to conceive a child. If you used the condoms correctly, and if he held the base of the condom when pulling out;that can reduce the chance for maybe a spill of semen into the vagina.resulting in pregnancy. If it's burning a little when you urinate, that could be the beginning of a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection. You may feel like you have to urinate a lot but instead you release just a few drops. Go to the ER or to your doctor for a urine test,to rule out pregnancy to get that stressor off your mind and to see if you have an infection. Some doctors give antibiotics, others tell you to drink alot of fluid.Doing both works wonders. Nerves can have you urinate alot and if you are a coffee drinker the caffeine is the culprit of keeping you in the bathroom and you need to drink more water instead.Caffeine stimulates the bladder. Last but not least there are several factors as to why your period may be late. One we just discussed, but I don't think you are pregnant. Our body chemistry changes every 7 years so our menstrual cycles tend to become a bit diffrent too,but also keep in mind, you said you just started college, you probably do not eat like you used to at one point.A change in diet and in weight can affect your period. Some women are just irregular. You can schedule an appointment with your gynecologist to cover all the possibilities of what is going on with your menstrual cycle. They have special blood tests to rule out certain hormonal disorders. Birth control pills are good to get you regular, but if your blood pressure is elevated or there is a strong family history of heart disaese and hypertension, I wouldn't recommend any hormones.I am 30 with hypertension, and a heart problem so I chose a hormone free IUD;but even that can have unpleasant side effects. I am a mom of 4 that has gone through all of what you are now,and I am sure that everything is going to be just fine. Good Luck!

Your period will sometimes change cycles on its own, or stress will change. But go see a doctor, he can tell you if it is a UTI or pregnancy. For stress, just go off somewhere and relax. Don't answer your phone unless it is important, if so, keep the conversation limited to a time limit. Find a place where you can sit and think, and clear you mind. Do not go with friends, boyfriend or anything, just go by yourself. This should help with stress issues. But I feel the pain of starting college, I just started also. And going off somewhere and relaxing when I was stressed helped me out.

Take a pregnancy test. It's unlikely that you are pregnant if you used the condoms correctly. If you think you have a UTI, see a doctor for antibiotics. Burning when you urinate is not a symptom of pregnancy. Continue to use condoms and ask your doctor about getting on hormonal birth control. It'll regulate your periods and you won't have to worry about pregnancy because condoms + the pill is very effective birth control.

Ok..first off if you don't want to get preggo, don't have sex. Second..if it burns when you pee that is a sign of a UTI, go to the dr and get some help.
Stress will cause changes in your cycle.
