I would say that you should either recycle them or throw them away in the trash. In high school, my class went to a water treatment plant that 'recycled' water. And it was so nasty to see the things that people flush down the toilet! And condoms were #1 on the list. So I would think about that the next time you take a nice drink of tap water that has been 'recycled'.

Definitely the regular garbage can. If you flush it down the toilet it can cause problems and recycling it is gross. Would you want something recycled from some other dude's used condom???

Condoms should be thrown away in the trash cans not down the toilet. Latex will harm the toilet. And latex can not be recycled." Do not refrigerate and use again in the morning." You'll find this in the label. LOL

Look at some of the other answers, then read my story. I'm a plumber. I used to do drain service, but I've gotten into the cleaner parts of plumbing. Once I was called to a house with a blocked sewer line. I ran my rodding machine down the pipe and pulled out a big, tangled wad of condoms as the man of the house watched with a sour look on his face. He called his wife over to the place I was working and asked her if she knew what all the rubber on my rodding cable was from. She looked shocked and her face started to turn dark red. She stammered for a moment, then said, "No, I don't know what that is."
"Mr Plumber," he said, turning to me, "can you tell my wife what you found in our sewer line?" I sensed trouble, but I had to say what it was. "Condoms, sir."
As it turns out, no one except the two of them lived in this house and the Mr. knew that he didn't use condoms. They divorced soon after.
Use the trash. Put them into little bags if you're worried about leaks.

You are advised by the manufacturer to discard Used condoms in the trash can-And NOT down the toilet .
Latex naturally degrade when buried .

Are you insane? You turn it inside out, give it a wash and then hang it on the line for the neighbours to see. In some countries this is considered a status symbol. If in doubt, throw it out.

You better not be having premarital sex. If it's just for pregnancy prevention because you already have way to many kids, than it's cool. I think you just trash them. But how would I know. I'm 15.

Wrap it in tissue or toilet paper and throw in the trash.

I make sure I tie off the condom in such a way that there's little or no air, then I flush it.

Let's put it this way - you really don't want anyone coming across it again, do you?
