When working out at the gym do you wear a jockstrap or your regular underwear? Is there a difference when working out from one or the other and what?

I personally go for sport briefs or boxerbriefs because they allow for movement (and jockstraps can often slip off your package and force you to adjust) and give great support. They also have wicking performance to keep the sweat off your body. This keeps you comfortable while working out and prevents rashes.

When at the gym or working out I prefer the comfort and support of the jockstrap.

I use my ordinary underwear, but many times I wish I had a jock strap, like when I pinch my boys inadvertently while sitting on some contraption where my legs have to be too close together.

The problem with jock straps is that they often are not very hygienic. Elastic traps and fertilizes bacteria like nothing you ever saw, so try to spend more for a quality strap that has better materials or has little or no elastic in it. If you can, shop at a GOOD sports equipment shop where the sales staff are serious and really know their stuff.

In the gym you should always wear a jockstrap to protect yourself, but only wear it there so you don't get a rash.
