Great link; I liked the "Oddball" ones! I could use them for a friend of mine who always calls and never says "How are you doing" or anything, just launches into a monologue about all her problems. Or a client of mine that I was stuck on the phone with for 45 minutes as she told me all about how she went from crack to Christ! Aagghhh!! I hate phone hogs! Thanks again for the link...now let's just hope my 1986 Tandy computer doesn't freeze up for the moment when I'll inevitably need to use those sound clips! LOL

The stuff on your link is cute and clever, and there was a time it'd have come in handy. Now a days, though, I just plane don't make excuses. When I'm through talking, or listening, to someone, all they get is, Gotta go, see ya. For what I pay for phone service, the thing's there for my convenience, not others.

I don't know, what was the reason stated in the violation noticed you received in your e-mail for it?
Maybe you did not ask it in a question form before. However If you need to get off the phone with someone just tell them someone is at the door you go to go, or you are on your way out so you got to get off the phone.

I hate talking on the phone. But when I get stuck on it with some jabber jaw who won't shut up I use the " man I gotta go before I chit my britches" excuse. Just say it then hang up. No need to say anything else. It should be automatically understood.

Nope, if I'm tired of being on the phone, I politely tell the person I'm talking with that I need to go. Simple and honest.

I never have a problem with that. I just simply tell the caller that I'm in the middle of something, which I always am in the middle of 'something' and then cordially say my goodbyes.
