That is a rotten thing to have happend to her. Enroll her at a different school.
Even though it was not her fault, gossip at the old school would take a very long time to die down. There would always be some kids would would take the side of the guys no matter what.

She should not be ashamed of being assaulted. She should be angry! She was the one attacked. Find a way for her to get the anger out. This was totally out of her control. She deserves a public apology, at the school, and I would insist that she gets one. I would be present to be sure it was handled properly and that all students heard the facts, that she was assaulted. I would also find out how the school will make adjustments to the security, so this kind of attack doesn't happen again. The whole football team should be reprimanded for standing by and watching the attack. They sound like a bunch of cowards. Why were only the two arrested aren't the rest guilty for not stopping it? Pumped after the game? Is that supposed to be an excuse? That is very disappointing!

What happened to your daughter is unfortunate. Of course, she will have to go back to school and move on with her education. Hopefully the school has punished all the boys who were witness to the attack and did nothing to stop it. Check with the principal and make sure this is being done.
Sit your daughter down and talk with her about the incident. Make sure she understands that she did not bring this on herself, and the she did not deserve what was done. If she feels like it is in some way her fault, that would increase any fears of returning to the school. The second reason I can think of is that maybe she is afraid other students will be upset with her for getting the football players in trouble. I'm sure the students that have heard of this incident (which is no doubt all of them) will feel bad for her more than anything else. Those boys are the ones who will be embarrassed when all the students hear how disgustinly they behaved. If anyone says anything negative to her about this, make sure she lets the principal know so he can deal with them. The longer she is away from school, the longer it will take for her to heal and move on, and the more attention she will bring to herself when she returns.
Worse comes to worse, she may need to be transferred to another school nearby. She has to finish school. If she become overly terrified of returning to school, take her to see a counselor that can help her work through her emotions.

Tuff situation! If she goes back to the school she will be rediculed by the rest of the football team. Is there another school nearby. At 15 years old this could be tragic for her. You stated that she was molested. Does that include "rape", or just grabbed, and maybe abused in other ways.

Yes, trust me, I am a highschool student and I know that while usually people will feel humilated by something like that, if your daughter has good friends and is liked, everybody will either not care that she got messed with or actually will hate the football kids for doing that to her.

Can she not attend a different school in the same county?
I would not force her to return to the school where she was molested. I think especially since you have a legal suit going on, it would be out of the question.

Going to another school is an option if she really doesn't think she could face those guys or anyone else again. Or you could homeschool her. She also needs to get some kind of professional help. Hopefully those players will be punished appropriately.

If she is uncomfortable going back to school then don't make her. Try home schooling or transfering! That is a devastating thing and she should not have to go through it anymore.

wow i can honestly say as a teenage girl that can be horrifying she prob dont want to go back to that school because of the bad memories your best bet is to let her transfer schools to the nearest school, if they say its out of the zone explain to the principal wat happened and even show them a copy of the police report most likly they wouldnt refuse your daughter and best wishes to you and your family no one should have to go through that.
