Anyone else had to have their gallbladder removed?

Has anyone else had to have their gallbladders removed due to pregnancy?
I have and just wanted to know how common it was. Seems fairly common as my neighbors daughter just found out she has gallstones.
Has anyone ever had pancreatitis from the gallstones getting in your pancreas? Let me tell you that is the most painful thing I have ever been through. And I did natural childbirth.

Not because of pregnancy but from losing a lot of weight in a short time period.
I lost 43 pounds in 4 months and then my side started feeling like someone was punching it with their fist. I went to the ER and that's when they said it was the gallbladder. My doctor saw me the next day, Monday, and it was removed on that Thursday.

Pregnancy is a common cause of Gallstones. It's one of the most common causes, actually.

Hell, being female is too.

I just had my gallbladder removed yesterday for other reasons (not pregnancy related).... And it's really not that bad.

My mom and aunt have had theirs removed. The surgery itself is not that bad or painful. The recovery takes about a week and it can hurt sometimes. You also have to be pretty careful about what you eat for about a week. But the effects only take about a week and two weeks at the most to go away.

Yes I had mine out five years ago and was glad of it .The attacks were the worst pain I've ever experienced.I didn't get pancreatitis,but I was getting jaundice as my liver enzymes were so high.No fun.

My mother had her gallbladder removed and she had to change her diet a little. There's really no problem living without it.
