I know a guy who is straight. I started having feelings for him. I know he does not feel the same, so how do I get over my crush.

The best thing to do-that also works most of the time- is to avoid this person. After a while, you will get over such crush.

Yes I have.Which is one reason why I avoid heterosexual men.I am not saying I have anything against anyone but I just feel more comfortable with guys who know what I mean when I say, "check out that guy!".Besides, I have never met very many straight guys who had no problem with me being gay.Even when they said they didn't have a problem I knew they did because they would always say, "you're cool dude just as long as you don't try to hit on me".Which I have discovered is really him saying, "You disgust me and I am uncomfortable around you".

I do know one straight guy who is sexually secure and is a good friend. He even would go to gay bars and I could talk about sexy guys with him and he never would say anything. He would just smile and say, "Well, if you say so."He is married and he is a minister for a local church with a very welcoming attitude to gays. And he does outreach work for us.

Sorry, I am getting off topic.Anyway, yes, I have. And I would not suggest going any further with this crush.Even if he did decide he might be interested in you it would not be, and more then likely never could be, anything more then an experimentation for him.

Oh, yes, and it was horrible to get over it. If possible, avoid this person with everything you've got and meet other people instead. And guard yourself against letting your feelings for a straight guy grow again -- unless you are bold enough to try to work on him. You never know when some guy you think is straight is actually gay or bi but hiding it. When my first boyfriend bridged the subject with me, I could not believe my luck! Sometimes that happens; it happend to me.

I've never had a crush on a dude, but I imagine it's the same as any forbidden crush - you just grin and bear it until it goes away. Or go out and meet new people!!

You're horny, dont center your attention on one single guy, you have to be careful, there will be a time when you will act out without you realizing it. Love from afar, until a new one comes along.

I have to agree with fall2005buseng (phew!) ... do what it takes to get over it. Stop entertaining your imagination, because the pain can go *way* deep.

Haven't we all? The best thing is to do something else to divert your attention away...
