You need to be careful with certain chemicals and plastic... fingernail polish, for instance, contains a bit of acetone in it,usually, and this will actually "eat" the plastic, causing it to become discolored.

Over the years, Ive discovered that two fairly common cleaners work well for different types of inks/markers....Formula 409, and Fantastic. Typically, whatever one will not remove, the other will, as not all inks are the same.

Other options have also been mentioned here, such as rubbing alcohol...again, be careful with it. Hair spray will do the trick too (in fact hair spray will remove painted lettering from the sides of a vehicles...amazing what some folks will put in their hair, lol)

Good Luck :)

If the permanent marker is on plastic, just wipe the mark off with rubbing alcohol.

Draw over the writing with a whiteboard or laundry marker, then wipe it off.

I don't think you can.

I'll be watching because my ex's name is still on most of my CD's.

I have replaced some of the cases. The paper sleeve is pretty much interchangeable.

Damn ex's ya' just can't get them out of sight or out of mind.
