system restore has been disabled by admin?

I cant get it back up for the life of me! I had a virus which i killed..but my system restore gives me the error 'cannot protect your computer'. I know it's disabled..but dont have the tab in the control panel..and my event log says it was disabled on all drives! Any idea how to get it back on? I've tried safe mode...everything!

If your admin has disabled it, you would have to speak to your admin about it.
Or else you will need to tweak your Windows Registry for that.. And chances are if your admin was paranoid enough to disable the System restore, he / she ( ??!!! ) would have disabled regedit too.
Better log a ticket with your Local Admin team.
