Are they trying to keep the headphones on their head? Why wouldn't they stay on?
I've seen all DJ's do this. What's up?

that is exactly what they are doing. when you "spin" you want to hear what is going on in the headphones and what the audience hears at the same time so they hold one side of the headphones with their shoulder.

The headphones feed the audio from the turntable so they can cue up the music, however, they also need to listen to the music as a whole that is pumping through the amps. That's why they don't wear the phones on both ears.
