how to get internet connection to my laptop from our class(lab) LAN ?

i want to connect my laptop to internet from my class.is it possible? we must need wi-fi connection or what?please send me how to get internet connection to my laptop,what should i do for geting connection?

ASK the LAN administrator
if he allow u to use the internet from LAN then he will give u a IP address from the pool of address he is using in his LAN.
moreover u need a LAN cable for internet.

2. Ask your IT department
3. Buy a "straight-through" Cat-5 cable and connect it to one of the network ports that are in the wall.
