Sorry to hear you are having these problems, I really do have to agree with the people who are saying it would be a good idea to move. I grew up in an area that wasn't the worst but it was somewhat poor and there was a lot of violence and drugs. Now I can't believe what I missed out on academically because my teachers had to play zookeeper every day. I have heard really good things about areas with newer schools that have to compete for students (I think charter schools is the right term) as opposed to the regular public schools, Oprah did a show on it:
http://www2.oprah.com/tows/slide/200604/20060411/slide_20060411_284_101.jhtml
and how the difference these schools create in the safety and education level is amazing. Best wishes.

Go to the principal, the school board, the school social worker, the police, the campus police, the newspaper, the media, Child Protective Services, each individual teacher, and stop at no ends until your child is safe. Move if you have to. Call private schools and ask about scholarships. Get a dog.

if she is in really danger than keep her home and since the school and the police will not do anything then I would call a lawyer. Keep fighting back legally till someone listens. It is your daughters right to go to school safely. Video tape them harrassing you if you can.

If the area is that bad, I would consider relocating for your families safety. If the police and school will not help you, it could be that in the area you are in they just have bigger problems to face. I would be thinking about a quick move and a new school for your child. Best of luck to you, please take care and stay safe

Move. That seems to be the best option in my point of view because if you don't do something now, the older they get the more rebellious they get, and the harder it will be to change her and control her. I'm 15 and I've learned from watching myself sometimes when I talk, I'm a rebel no matter how much I denie it. Trust me, I tihnk you know yourself. Its the best thing you can do.

If the school and authorities wont do anything, then it would be in your best interest (if at all possible) to move, or at very least enroll her in another school. If you have no other option, I would ensure she carry a can of mace at all times. And USE it as warranted!

Oh goodness girlie! I hope she recovers fast! I would definitely look at relocation of the entire family. You don't want to end up a statistic of violence! There is no shame in packing up and moving to save your family! Best of luck to you!!!!
